The school has run several trips to Parliament for its sixth-form politics students, and this week’s followed a recent visit by Stephen to a politics lesson at St Cyres, when he spoke to the pupils about the role of an MP and answered a wide range of questions.

“It was great to meet the students both in Westminster and at school,” said Cardiff South and Penarth Labour MP Stephen.

“They were really well informed and politically engaged, and it was a pleasure to welcome them to Westminster.”

Pupils from Stanwell also visited Parliament last week (Friday).

Stephen said: “Unfortunately I wasn’t able to meet up with them as I had commitments back in the constituency, but I’m looking forward to visiting Stanwell for a ‘Question Time’ style event in April, along with other prospective parliamentary candidates ahead of the general election.”
