Celebrating across the constituency with different faiths and local volunteers

Last week I was out and about supporting many different community celebrations – reminding me of just how proud I am of our communities and all those who make a difference locally.

First, I was delighted to be able to join All Saints Church in Penarth on Sunday which was celebrating 125 years of worship and community service, in the presence of Archbishop of Wales Barry Morgan.

Then I joined NSPCC Childline in Splott – to celebrate 30 years of this vital service helping vulnerable children.

It was fantastic to meet local volunteers and staff who are doing so much to help children in crisis up and down the country.

They are always on the look-out for new volunteers, so please get in touch with them if you think you could help.

And to top it off it was (as always) a delight to share in the wonderful celebration of Diwali with the community in Grangetown and beyond who attend the Shree Swaminarayan Temple. It was an amazing festival of dance, music and great food, celebrating the triumph of light over darkness. Happy Diwali to all constituents celebrating!
